Clearing Plaque From an Artery in the Arm

Vermont rates for HCPCS 35321

Opens an artery in the arm through an incision and strips the built-up fatty plaque and old clot from its inner lining, restoring the width of the channel. A patch may be sewn into the opening so the vessel is not narrowed when it is closed. It is done when the narrowed artery is starving the arm and hand of blood.
