Open Repair Of Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm With Branches

Vermont rates for HCPCS 35091

Replaces a bulging, weakened stretch of the abdominal aorta with a fabric tube through an open abdominal incision, in a case where the bulge involves the points at which the arteries to the kidneys, intestines, or liver branch off. Those branches have to be preserved or reattached, which makes the operation longer and more demanding than a repair below them. It is done to stop the aneurysm from bursting.
