Repairs a bulging, weakened section of one of the two arteries that run down the forearm to supply the hand, reached through an incision in the arm. The affected segment is repaired or replaced so blood flows normally to the hand again. It is done to prevent the weak spot rupturing or shedding clot into the fingers.
