Surgical Exposure Of The Pelvic Artery For A Stent Graft

New Jersey rates for HCPCS 34833

The surgeon opens the abdomen or the space behind it to expose the large artery in the pelvis directly, so that a stent graft can be passed into the blood vessel and positioned. It is done alongside the main stent graft repair when the artery cannot be entered through the skin, and covers one side. Once the device is delivered, the artery and the incision are closed.
