Pelvic Artery Plug During Stent Graft Repair

Vermont rates for HCPCS 34808

A plug is delivered through a catheter to seal off a pelvic artery during repair of an aortic aneurysm with a stent graft. Closing that branch stops blood from flowing backward into the weakened section of the aorta once the graft is in place. It is done during the main stent graft procedure and is billed in addition to it.
