Shoulder Artery Exposure With Graft Conduit

Vermont rates for HCPCS 34716

Opens the skin near the collarbone or armpit to reach the large artery there and stitches a short length of graft tubing onto it, creating a temporary channel wide enough to pass stent graft equipment or to connect a heart-lung machine. It is used when the arteries in the groin are too small or too diseased to serve as the access route. It covers one side.
