Emergency Stent Graft, Aorta To One Pelvic Artery

Vermont rates for HCPCS 34704

Emergency repair of a burst main abdominal artery from the inside, using a fabric-lined metal sleeve threaded up through a groin artery. The sleeve seals the torn aorta and carries blood down a single limb into one of the large pelvic arteries, stopping the internal bleeding without opening the abdomen. Flow to the opposite leg is restored separately during the same operation.
