Removing a Clot From a Forearm Artery

Oklahoma rates for HCPCS 34111

Opens one of the arteries running down the forearm through an incision in the arm and extracts a clot or an embolus blocking it, usually by drawing a small balloon-tipped catheter back along the vessel. Restoring flow relieves the pain, coldness, and numbness of a hand starved of blood. It is done urgently once the blockage is recognized.
