Removing A Blood Clot From An Arm Artery

Maryland rates for HCPCS 34101

Opens an artery in the arm or armpit through an incision and removes a clot that is blocking blood flow to the limb. A balloon-tipped tube is usually passed along the vessel and drawn back to pull the clot out, then the artery is stitched closed. It is done urgently when an arm becomes cold, pale, painful, or numb from a sudden blockage.
