Repair Of Multiple Heart Wall Holes

Pennsylvania rates for HCPCS 33677

Open-heart surgery that closes more than one hole in the muscular wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart, usually in a child born with the defect. In this version the surgeon also removes a band that was previously placed around the lung artery to limit blood flow while the child grew. Closing the holes and freeing the artery restores a normal circulation.
