Banding Both Lung Arteries In An Infant Heart

Vermont rates for HCPCS 33620

Places a narrowing band around each of the two arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs, so the lungs are not flooded with too much blood flow. It is used in babies born with a severely underdeveloped heart, as an early step in a staged plan of treatment. The chest is opened to place the bands.
