Minimally Invasive Replacement Of A Heart Valve, Pulmonary

West Virginia rates for HCPCS 33477

This procedure replaces the pulmonary valve, which controls blood flow from the heart to the lungs, using a catheter threaded through the blood vessels instead of open-heart surgery. A new valve is delivered and expanded into place at the site of the diseased or malfunctioning valve. This approach is often used for patients who have had previous heart surgery and need a valve replaced without repeating a full open procedure.
