Open-heart surgery that cuts away thickened muscle narrowing the channel where blood leaves the right pumping chamber on its way to the lungs. If the valve at the end of that channel has fused leaflets, they are separated during the same operation. Clearing the obstruction lets the right side of the heart pump without working against high resistance.
