Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)

Oregon rates for HCPCS 33361

Replaces a narrowed aortic valve, the main outflow valve of the heart, with an artificial valve delivered on a thin tube rather than by opening the chest. The new valve is threaded up to the heart through a blood vessel in the groin and expanded inside the diseased valve, which is pushed aside and left in place.
