Keyhole Maze Surgery for an Irregular Heartbeat

Vermont rates for HCPCS 33266

Treatment for atrial fibrillation in which a pattern of controlled scar lines is created in the upper chambers of the heart, blocking the chaotic electrical signals that drive the irregular rhythm. It is done through small chest incisions using a camera, without opening the chest and without a heart-lung machine taking over the circulation. The chamber is then reconstructed where tissue has been treated.
