Camera Examination Of The Chest, No Sample Taken

Vermont rates for HCPCS 32601

A camera on a thin instrument is passed through a small cut between the ribs so the surgeon can look directly at the lung surfaces, the lining of the chest, the sac around the heart, and the central chest area. It is done to find the cause of fluid, a mass, or unexplained chest findings. Nothing is cut out or sampled during this examination.
