Lung Lobe Removal With Airway Reconstruction

Washington rates for HCPCS 32486

Removal of a lobe of the lung along with a segment of the airway serving it, after which the cut ends of the airway are stitched back together. This lets the surgeon take out disease that involves the airway itself while leaving the remaining healthy lung in place. It spares the patient from losing the whole lung on that side.
