Ultrasound Through The Scope For An Outer Lung Spot

Vermont rates for HCPCS 31654

During a lung scope examination, a small ultrasound probe is passed down the scope to locate a spot in the outer part of the lung that cannot be seen from inside the airway. The sound-wave picture confirms the instrument is on target before a sample is taken or treatment is given. It is billed in addition to the main scope procedure.
