Voice Box Examination With Tissue Sample

An examination of the voice box carried out in the operating room with the patient asleep. A rigid scope is passed through the mouth to hold the throat open and give a direct view of the vocal cords, and a small piece of tissue is taken from an abnormal area for testing. The laboratory examination of the sample is charged separately.
