A slim balloon-tipped instrument is guided by a camera into the drainage opening of the sinus behind the cheek, reached either through the nostril or through a small opening made above the upper teeth. Inflating the balloon widens that opening so the sinus can drain, easing long-standing congestion, facial pressure and repeated infections. No tissue is cut away.
