Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Total Ethmoidectomy

Vermont rates for HCPCS 31257

Sinus surgery carried out through the nostrils with a thin telescope, so there are no cuts on the face. The surgeon opens up the honeycomb of small air cells between the eyes, front and back, taking away the thin walls between them so the sinuses can drain freely. It is done for long-standing sinus infection, polyps or blockage that medicines have not settled.
