Tying Off A Nose Artery To Stop Bleeding

A scope is passed through the nostril and the sphenopalatine artery, a main blood supply to the inside of the nose, is clipped or tied off to stop severe or repeated nosebleeds. Because the work is done through the nostril, there is no incision on the face.
