Endoscopic Nosebleed Control

Delaware rates for HCPCS 31238

This procedure uses a thin, lighted scope passed through the nostril to locate and stop a nosebleed coming from deeper inside the nasal or sinus passages. The doctor may cauterize the bleeding vessel or pack the area under direct visualization with the scope. It's typically used when a bleed doesn't respond to simple first-aid measures like pinching the nose.
