Complete Ethmoid Sinus Removal Through an Incision

Vermont rates for HCPCS 31205

Removes the ethmoid air cells, a honeycomb cluster of small sinus chambers sitting between the eye sockets, in full. The surgeon reaches them through an incision on the outside of the nose rather than working upward through the nostril. It is used when disease in those sinuses is extensive enough that a route through the nose will not do.
