Follow-Up Treatment For A Deep Nosebleed

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 30906

When a nosebleed coming from deep inside the nasal cavity doesn't fully stop after an initial attempt to control it, this follow-up treatment uses packing material and/or a cauterizing (sealing) technique to stop the bleeding. It addresses bleeding from further back in the nose, which tends to be harder to control than bleeding near the front of the nostril. This version specifically applies when a prior treatment for the same bleeding episode wasn't enough.
