Removes or planes away the thickened, lumpy overgrowth of skin and oil glands that can build up on the nose, usually as a late consequence of rosacea. The excess tissue is shaved down in layers until the normal contour of the nose is restored, and the surface heals over from the remaining skin. It improves both breathing and appearance when the overgrowth is bulky.
