Knee Arthroscopy to Release Scar Tissue

Vermont rates for HCPCS 29884

A camera and fine instruments are placed into the knee through small punctures, and bands of scar tissue that have formed inside the joint and are limiting movement are cut and freed. The knee may also be bent and straightened under anesthesia to break up remaining stiffness. It is done for a knee that has become stiff, often after an earlier injury or operation.
