Application Of A Long Arm Splint

Washington, DC rates for HCPCS 29105

This service applies a rigid, non-adjustable splint extending from the shoulder area down to the hand, used to immobilize and support an injured upper arm, elbow, or forearm while it heals. Unlike a cast, a splint can typically be removed for cleaning, swelling checks, or adjustment, while still providing firm support. It's often used for a fracture, dislocation, or after certain procedures where full permanent immobilization by a cast isn't yet appropriate.
