Release of the Tight Arch Tissue of the Foot

Divides the thick band of tissue and the muscle beneath it that run along the sole of the foot, so a tight, high or clawed arch can flatten toward a normal shape. It is used when the arch tissue has contracted and holds the foot in a fixed position. It is normally done through a small incision on the inner side of the sole.
