Removal of a Bone Bridge in the Foot

Georgia rates for HCPCS 28116

Removes an abnormal bridge of bone or cartilage that has joined two of the bones in the back of the foot together, a condition called a tarsal coalition. The bridge stops the foot from flexing and turning normally and causes stiffness, pain and repeated sprains, often first noticed in the teenage years. Taking it out restores movement between the bones.
