Forefoot Reconstruction Removing Metatarsal Heads

Vermont rates for HCPCS 28114

Removes the rounded ends of the long bones of the forefoot along with part of the bases of the toe bones, to rebuild a badly deformed and painful forefoot. The long bone behind the big toe is left alone. It is done when the joints at the ball of the foot have dislocated and worn out, the natural padding has shifted, and walking has become painful.
