Removal of Inflamed Lining From a Midfoot Joint

Vermont rates for HCPCS 28070

Removes the inflamed, thickened lining from one of the small joints in the middle of the foot, where the midfoot bones meet each other or meet the long bones of the forefoot. That swollen lining is what drives the pain and damage in inflammatory arthritis, so clearing it settles the joint. Each joint treated is handled separately.
