Puts back a dislocated joint just below the outer side of the knee, where the head of the smaller lower-leg bone meets the shin bone, by guiding it into position by hand through the skin. No incision is made, and this version of the treatment is carried out without anesthesia. The leg is then protected while the stretched tissues around the joint settle.
