Pin or Screw Fixation of a Broken Shinbone

Utah rates for HCPCS 27756

A broken shaft of the tibia, the main weight-bearing bone of the lower leg, is realigned and then held with pins or screws passed through small punctures in the skin rather than through a full open incision. The smaller fibula alongside it may be broken as well and is covered by the same treatment. Imaging is used to confirm alignment.
