Tibia and Fibula Length-Correction Surgery

Wyoming rates for HCPCS 27715

This surgery cuts the tibia and fibula, the two bones of the lower leg, to intentionally shorten or lengthen the leg and correct a difference in limb length or alignment. The surgeon repositions the bone segments to the desired length and stabilizes them so they heal in the new position. It addresses leg-length or alignment problems rather than a fracture that failed to heal.
