Cutting And Realigning Both Lower Leg Bones

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27709

Both bones of the lower leg — the weight-bearing shin bone and the slimmer bone beside it — are cut across and repositioned to correct a bend, a twist or a difference in length. They are then held in the corrected position while they knit. It is used for deformity left by a break that healed crooked, by a growth problem, or by long-standing bone disease.
