Cutting And Realigning The Slim Outer Leg Bone

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27707

The fibula — the slender bone running down the outer side of the lower leg — is cut across and repositioned. It is done to correct a deformity of that bone, or to free the leg's alignment where the fibula would otherwise hold it in its old position. The bone then heals in its new position.
