Revision of an Ankle Replacement

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27703

Redoes an ankle joint replacement by taking out worn, loose, or failed components and putting new ones in, dealing with any bone loss around them as part of the same operation. It is done when an existing ankle replacement has loosened, worn out, sunk into the bone, or become infected. It is a bigger undertaking than the original replacement, because there is less bone left to work with.
