Removes a soft-tissue tumor from the lower leg or ankle together with a surrounding cuff of healthy tissue, so the growth comes out without being cut into. Muscle, fascia, or other nearby tissue may be taken with it to get a clean edge. This is the aggressive removal used when a growth is, or may be, a sarcoma.
