Achilles Tendon Release, Asleep Under Anesthesia

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27606

Divides the tight Achilles tendon at the back of the ankle through a small puncture in the skin, without opening the area, so the ankle can be brought up into a corrected position. It is the version done with the patient fully asleep under general anesthesia. The foot is usually put into a cast straight afterwards.
