Achilles Tendon Release Under Local Anesthetic

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27605

Divides the tight Achilles tendon at the back of the ankle through a small puncture in the skin so the foot can be brought up into a corrected position. It is the version done with only the skin and tissue numbed rather than putting the patient to sleep. A cast is normally applied immediately afterwards to hold the corrected position.
