Release Of Back Compartments Of Lower Leg

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27601

Cuts open the tough sheets of tissue that wrap the muscles at the back of the lower leg, releasing dangerously high pressure inside them. Pressure can build after an injury, a crush, or heavy swelling, and if it is not relieved the muscles and nerves inside can be permanently damaged. The wound is often left open for a few days and closed later.
