Setting a Broken Thighbone Without Surgery

Oregon rates for HCPCS 27502

A broken shaft of the thighbone is realigned by moving and positioning the leg from the outside, without opening the skin. Traction — a steady pull applied through the skin or through a pin in the bone — may be used to hold the alignment while healing begins. No hardware is placed inside the bone.
