Reshaping The Thigh Bone To Correct Length

An operation on the thigh bone, the long bone between hip and knee, to correct a difference in leg length. A section of bone is cut and repositioned so that the length is adjusted, and the bone is held while it heals. It is done for a leg that is noticeably longer or shorter than the other.
