Transfer Of Several Thigh Tendons

Georgia rates for HCPCS 27397

Moves more than one tendon in the thigh to a new attachment point so that working muscles can take over movement that has been lost. It is used when nerve injury, muscle weakness, or a condition such as cerebral palsy leaves the leg unable to move or hold position properly. Rerouting several tendons in one operation, rather than a single tendon, is what makes this the larger version of the procedure.
