Removal of a Soft-Tissue Growth Near the Knee

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27328

Removes a soft-tissue growth from the thigh or the area around the knee, meaning a lump in fat, muscle or connective tissue rather than in a bone or joint. The surgeon makes an incision over the lump, separates it from the nerves and vessels around it, takes it out and closes the wound. The tissue removed is sent to a laboratory to be examined under a microscope.
