Resetting a Dislocated Hip Replacement, No Anesthesia

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27265

Puts the ball of an artificial hip back into its socket after it has slipped out, without opening the joint and without putting the patient to sleep or numbing the lower body. The doctor moves the leg through set positions to guide the ball back in, usually in an emergency department, and an X-ray confirms it is seated. Sedation or pain medication may still be given.
