Putting a Dislocated Hip Back In Place

Vermont rates for HCPCS 27250

Guides the ball of the thigh bone back into the hip socket after it has been knocked out of joint, without an incision. The leg is pulled and rotated in a set way until the joint slips back into place, and x-rays confirm the position. It is treated as an emergency, because the longer the hip stays out the greater the risk to its blood supply.
