Transfer Of Inner Thigh Muscles To Sitting Bone

Mississippi rates for HCPCS 27098

The inner thigh muscles are detached from the front of the pelvis and reattached further back on the sitting bone, which changes the direction of their pull. Instead of dragging the thighs together, they help hold the hip in its socket. It is used mainly for people whose hips are pulled inward by tight, spastic muscles and are at risk of sliding out of joint.
