Contrast Injection Into The Hip, With Anesthesia

Rhode Island rates for HCPCS 27095

Contrast dye is injected through a needle into the hip joint so the inside of the joint shows up on the images that follow, with the patient given anesthesia for the injection. It is a diagnostic step rather than a treatment injection, and no joint fluid is drawn off. The imaging study itself is a separate service.
